The one we´ve all been waiting for !

23/4/2008 - A great new book on L-number catfish is now available in the Back to Nature series.  We hope you like it !!

29/2/2008 - it´s not often that there are 29 days in February, and these days it´s even rarer that a new book on Tanganyikan cichlids comes out, rarer still that it´s not one by the brilliant Ad Konings, but by a new author - and an absolute first that many of the behaviours of our cichlid friends (and other flora and fauna) from this most fascinating of Rift lakes are captured (often at great depths) in such a STUNNING collection of outstanding photography by an award-winning wildlife photographer (National Geographic collaborator and BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year prize-winner twice).  If I sound a bit breathless, it´s because I´ve seen the book.  I was also lucky enough to meet the author yesterday, when he delivered my copies.  Lucky because he happens to live in the same part of Spain as I do, and lucky that he is allowing me to distribute this self-published work as it is a very limited edition, and Angel would probably have easily been able to handle all the sales himself, such has been the reaction to this book already in the cichlid world.  You can see the moment I met Angel captured on pixels on the book page.  Although Angel travels the world in his job as marine biologist and photographer, he is also a keen cichlid hobbyist himself, and is planning a new fish house in the house he has recently bought inland from Alicante.  I´m hoping to be able to visit when he´s done all the hard work, and maybe take some photos for the site...........Andy

First review of the 4th edition of "Malawi Cichlids in their Natural Habitat"

"Just peeled off the wrapping of my New book from Cichlid City - Malawi Cichlids in their Natural Habitat (4th Edition). I`ve only had a quick look through but I can say all ready it`s an absolutely beautiful book packed with fantastic pictures, information about taxonomy, habitats, feeding and references. Basically as the title says their Natural habitat.
It carries on from the previous 3rd Edition but has much more to offer for existing owners of the series, many more pictures, diagrams, maps and re-classifications , a bigger book as well. " (Nick Sweeting)
